2023 Scholarship Recipients

For many years NF Midwest has provided the opportunity for students from our area diagnosed with NF1, NF2-SWN, or schwannomatosis and pursuing post-high school education the opportunity to earn the NF Midwest Scholarship of $1000. This fantastic opportunity is funded by a charitable trust left to NF Midwest by Frances and Irma Napolilli.

Applicants who apply for the scholarship are evaluated on character, involvement in community service, involvement in NF Midwest and other NF-related activities, and evidence of determination and persistence through difficulties, including those related to neurofibromatosis and demonstration of their commitment to learning.

Earning a scholarship is not only a recognition of one’s efforts but also an opportunity to pursue your academic goals and contribute to your community.

This year’s 2023 Scholarship recipients are……. drum roll.

Lucy K. (Kenosha, WI) will be a freshman at Gateway Technical College and will pursue her certification in cosmetology.

Grace G. (Nixa, MO) will be a senior at Missouri State University and is pursuing a degree in construction management.

Anneliese H. (Carmel, IN) will be a freshman at Purdue and will pursue a degree in hospitality and tourism management.

Congratulations to you all! We wish you all the best in your academic pursuits and hope this scholarship will open new doors of opportunity for you.

If you are interested in applying for a 2024 scholarship, look for the application to be open in January, 2024.
