Giving through a donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple and tax-savvy way to support the NF Midwest community. If you have a DAF with a sponsoring organization like Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or a local community foundation, you can easily recommend a grant to help us continue our work.

You may initiate a gift from select sponsors using DAF Direct or go directly to your DAF sponsor.

Benefits of Giving Through a DAF

Efficient & Tax-Smart

You likely received a tax deduction when you funded your DAF. Now, you can easily recommend grants to support our mission.

Flexible Giving

Many DAFs are funded with appreciated assets like stock or crypto, which have already been converted into charitable dollars.

Simple & Recurring

You can even set up recurring grant recommendations to provide steady, reliable support for individuals and families affected by NF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! Simply put the name of the fundraiser or team in any memo or drop us an email and we would love to do that for you!

A DAF is a charitable giving account managed by a sponsoring organization (like Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or a community foundation). You contribute to the fund, receive an immediate tax receipt, and can then recommend grants to your favorite charities, like NF Midwest, over time.

Some DAF sponsors allow you to make grants anonymously. If you’d like us to know who the gift is from so we can thank you, please ask your sponsor to share your name and address along with the grant.
