2018 Year in Review

Our 2018 financial statement is complete and we’ve taken time to look back at the year in review! It was a fantastic year thanks to our very generous donors!  The focus of our year was, once again, Care and Support!

The highlights of our 2018 year include a new program and an addition to our Faces of NF! The new program is our Young Adult Leadership Program in which we collaborated with the Littlest Tumor Foundation and Texas NF. While the actual event happened in January of this year, we spent most of 2018 working with these two awesome organizations to develop it. We are very proud to be working together to support such a meaningful cause.

The other highlight is the creation of new and improved posters that promote awareness as an extension to our Faces of NF. We’re still developing these posters and are looking for people to participate. The idea is that once people read 10 to 12 of the posters, they’ll have read about real people having various complications of neurofibromatosis type 1, neurofibromatosis type 2, and schwannomatosis.

We believe in total financial transparency. For many years, NF Midwest has published its financial statement and 990s on our website. This is something all nonprofits should do and we encourage you to look for them. You can find both our new and past financials HERE.
