Kentucky family hosts NF Family Picnic
On Saturday, June 24, 2017, Kentucky residents had a fun filled day, courtesy of Freddy and Camillia Thomas, Jr., of Thomas Farm in Elizabethtown, KY, for NF patients and their families. The Thomas’ have a 16 year old son, Kyler, that has NF1.
While the adults were able to sit and enjoy talking with one another, the kids spent the day having loads of fun! The kids were treated to water games, horseback riding, yard games, and making new friends.
The guest of honor was Dr. Donita Lightner, neurologist at University of Kentucky. Dr. Lightner was available for patients and their families to ask questions and to get to know her in an informal setting.
The Thomas family wishes to thank NF Midwest, University of KY NF support group, Dr. Donita Lightner, the Stratton family, and all the NF families who participated.
