42 Years of Care and Ensuring No One Fights Alone!

Spread the Word in May!

May is Neurofibromatosis (NF) Awareness Month and Sunday, May 17th is NF Awareness Day.

While the NF cause needs you in every season, every month and every day, May provides a great reason to really spread the word NEUROFIBROMATOSIS.

If you’re comfortable and able, this is a great time raise awareness by sharing your NF story with your social connections via email, facebook, Twitter, Google +, etc. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to raise much needed funds for the neurofibromatosis cause.

If you are participating in one of NF Midwest’s seven Great Steps 4NF walks or another walk elsewhere, this is an extra chance to ask your peers again to support your efforts.

After all the best way to raise funds is to ask…ask…ask…and ask again!

If you have a FirstGiving page with your story about why NF is important to you, share it with everyone and don’t forget regular old-fashion US Mail!

If you don’t have a FirstGiving page, aren’t participating in a walk, or aren’t comfortable sharing your story, check out the various stories on our FirstGiving pages. Simply click a name of a fundraiser and read their story. Choose one, or two or many to share. The teams will appreciate your extra support.

  • Where are the NF walks ( any near Evansville, Indiana)?my grandson was diagnosed as a baby and he will be 13 in
August 20. He has NF1 . He has two possible outward tumors but he also has one in his brain stem and another smaller in his brain in smoother spot. How do you start up the page you were talking about. I am not too good w
Technology but trying to learn . Thank you.
    Sincerely, MelooWhite Miller

    • Melody, We don’t have any walks in that area yet. There is a support group though of families and individuals who get together. Regarding the page, it may be easier if you call the office at 630.945.3562.

  • I have NF1. I’m glad my sister found this site so my friends can better understand what I have. It’s hard to explains when I don’t know anything about it.
