Join NF Midwest, NF physicians, the NF community, and others in celebrating the work of artist Rachel Mindrup and the courage of Ashok Shrestha.
You’re invited to a special evening reception at the International Museum of Surgical Science for the powerful exhibit:
“Neurofibromatosis and a Portrait of 1 in 3,000: Ashok Shrestha’s Transformation.”
Through a series of portraits by acclaimed artist Rachel Mindrup, this exhibit captures the evolving story of Ashok Shrestha, a man living with NF1. It’s an intimate and moving exploration of identity, visibility, and strength in the face of NF.
This event is FREE and open to all. Guests will also have full access to explore the museum’s galleries (a $25 value). Wine, beer, soda, and water will be available. Children are welcome.
Several NF physicians will be attending and may take questions, offering a chance for meaningful connection between medical professionals and the community.
Let’s gather to reflect, connect, and honor the combining of art, medicine, and individuals that make the NF story visible.
