Send Kids with Neurofibromatosis to Camp and support other programs for kids with NF.
Funds raised are used to send kids with NF to camp; for kids’ programs in the area; and for post high school scholarships.
Camp New Friends in West Virginia offers children and teens with Neurofibromatosis (ages 7-16) seven days and six nights of summer fun and social connections. Camp reduces the stigma and isolation and is an effective way for children to learn more about their condition. Kids learn from peers and adult volunteers who live effectively with these same health conditions and are offered hope for the future like NF.
Campers develop self esteem, build social connections and learn coping skills through activities like hiking, arts and crafts, canoeing, team sports, a low and high ropes confidence course, camp Olympics, swimming, yoga and drama.
To continue the benefits of Camp New Friends NF Midwest also provides local programs for kids with NF and scholarships for post high school education.
A few of our past campers stopped by the office to say thank you to those donors and to share how camp has affected them. Click here to see the videos they created.
