Excellent Short Video on MPNST in Neurofibromatosis Type 1

Thank you to the Neuro Foundation of London for putting together a very informative and short video on MPNSTs (Malignant Nerve Sheath Tumors) in Neurofibromatosis Type 1.

While these tumors may affect approximately 10% of people with NF1, they are an often devastating complication that everyone with NF1 needs to be aware of.

The video suggests a great acronym for knowing when to seek HELP. It is Hardening; Enlarging; Leg/arm weakness or numbness; and Pain (H.E.L.P). If you, or a loved one, has these symptoms they should see an NF specialist immediately.

  • This video was extremely well done & the presenter spoke clearly & precisely & it was very easy to follow. Thank you for putting this video together. I wish more medical related videos were as well done as this one.

My five year old grandson has been diagnosed with NF1 & I try to read & watch as much information as possible to gain a better understanding of his health & how NF1 affects him.

    Thank you.

  • I have NF1 and cancer. I’m 31 years old and lived with NF my whole life. 3 years ago was diagnosed with pancreatic nuroendocrine cancer. I always wondered if the two had anything to do with each other. Loved the video.
