As of 2012, NF Midwest has funded almost $700,000 in NF research grants and over $300,000 in improving clinical care and clinical research. We have also underwritten almost $190,000 in the national advocacy efforts that have brought over $243,000,000 to NF research since 1996 through the Department of Defenses’ Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP). This doesn’t include funds that have gone through the National Institutes of Health which are probably about equal to the CDMRP money.
